The Behold your God study is a 12 week course which focuses on rethinking who God is based on the scriptures and considering how this ought to affect every area of the Christian life. Hopefully we as believers are already striving to be God-centered in the way we approach life and ministry, but this study helpfully reveals many ways in which we often fail to be as God-centered as we ought. Each study uses a biographical sketch of a saint of old, a sermon by pastor John Snyder, and a compilation of interview clips with contemporary ministers to exhort us all toward two great priorities: knowing Christ and bringing Him glory. The study shows how it is a failure in this area which is always at root behind all the many shortcomings in our lives and churches, and therefore that knowing Him more is of the utmost necessity for growing in holiness, fruitfulness, and joy, as well as for bringing Him the glory He deserves.
